One Heart Projects, based in Gauteng South Africa, is a non-profit organisation that is founded on the principles of development and empowerment for challenged and vulnerable communities in our society. Established in 2019, OHP’s passion lies in providing assistance; as well as resources that empowers the youth and communities at large with individual needs and specific skills required in their daily functions. Our purpose is to serve and enrich the lives of those in our communities; as we aspire to “impacting lives, one heart at a time”. As a way to touch as many lives as possible, OHP collaborates with other organizations that share the same passion, vision, and goals.
Please note: We do not make donations to any organisations or individuals. We are a non-profit organisation raising funds and donations in kind for our programmes.
Our purpose is to positively impact the lives of all youth and communities at large, by ensuring opportunities for development and empowerment; both on mental and physical spheres through creating platforms that nurture sustainable educational programmes and projects. In addition to, we aim to inspire hope, health and well-being to vulnerable communities.
We are passionate about inspiring lifelong learning, advancing knowledge, and strengthening our communities. In collaboration with other non-profit organisations, we invest in the lives of children, youth, and vulnerable households, whilst building healthy environments required to thrive; as well as empowering these individuals to create lasting change in their own lives and community settings.

OHP collaborates with other organizations that share the same passion, vision, and goals. We strive to promote youth development and empowerment through philanthropy. Run by youths, for youths, we plan and execute events to show the impact one can make in a community while encouraging the act of giving back
Donate to our education programs because learning can’t wait. Every human being should have the right, privilege, and opportunity to obtain education. Our organisation hosts educational workshops and seminars that support, teach and encourage the growth of one’s mind on a personal and career level; as well as share support materials (such as school uniforms and stationary through clothing drive projects) for further assistance in daily endeavors. Assist us with the supply of materials that can support and assist identified vulnerable communities with our focus being the girl child not forgetting children’s homes and youth care facilities.
One Heart Projects offers Mental health and psychosocial support,this comprises of awareness and training to protect and promote mental health and psychosocial wellbeing. We offer psycho-social support through:
• Life-skills groups and workshops: mainly focused on peer pressure, decision making, individual roles and responsibilities, anger management, emotional intelligence, social skills, career coaching and guidance, mental health (anxiety and depression).
• Referrals for traumatized individuals (children,women, youth, adults) to social workers and counselling psychologists for individual assessments and therapy sessions.

VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are an important part of the team here at OHP. Volunteering to help with administrative work is a great way to make a difference while gaining practical skills and experience. You could also volunteer at community gardens with support including tools and seeds that will help families grow the food they need.
A well-managed team meets its goals by using the talents of each team member to the best effect. Each member knows what the highest priority is, and understands their role in making it happen.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of One Heart Projects. Mahalia studied Psychological Counselling and is currently an Executive Coach, and MA Psychology Candidate. She has done extensive work in mental health services within communities and the corporate industry. .
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of One Heart Projects. Mpumelelo holds a Diploma in Accountancy, and is currently a Sales Consultant in the financial sector.
Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Creative Director of One Heart Projects. Nomfundo holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Strategic Management and is currently an English teacher in China.
Communications Director and Strategist of One Heart Projects. Khumbudzo holds a MA in Industrial Psychology, and is currently a Change Delivery Consultant in the financial sector, with experience in coaching and facilitation.
